1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how ASSA SHIPPING (“we”, “us” or “our”) handles information in the ASSA Shipping Toolkit Android application (“the App”).
The App is an offline business and logistics toolkit. It does not require an account or an internet connection. Through the App, we do not access, collect, transmit, sell or share personal data, sensitive user data, device identifiers, usage information, contacts, files, photos, location or financial information.
2. Information stored on your device
The export checklist is optional. When you select a checklist item, the App stores only that item’s checked or unchecked state in the App’s private local storage on your device. This setting is used solely to preserve your checklist progress between sessions.
This local checklist state is not personal information, is not accessible to ASSA SHIPPING through the App and is never transmitted by the App. Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup are disabled for this checklist state.
3. Data collection, use and sharing
The App contains no advertising, analytics, tracking technologies, social features or third-party software development kits. It requests no Android permissions and contains no functionality that sends information to us or to third parties.
4. Retention and deletion
Checklist selections remain on your device until you erase them. You can delete them at any time by choosing Erase local checklist data in the App’s About screen, by clearing the App’s storage in Android settings or by uninstalling the App.
Because ASSA SHIPPING does not receive or hold this local information, there is no server-side copy for us to retain or delete.
5. Security
The App minimizes privacy and security risk by operating offline, requesting no permissions and storing checklist state only inside the App’s private local storage. No method of device storage is completely risk-free, so you should protect access to your device and keep Android security updates current.
6. Children’s privacy
The App is a general business and logistics tool and is not directed to children. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any other user.
7. External services and links
The current version of the App does not integrate external services and does not contain links that transmit data from the App. If a future version adds an external service or changes how information is handled, we will update this Privacy Policy and the relevant store disclosures before distributing that version.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, legal requirements or our practices. The revised policy will display a new effective date. Material changes will be disclosed through an appropriate notice before they take effect where required.
